The City of Durango in celebrated sustainable transportation with Winter Bike to Work Day 2024 Friday, Feb. 9. Everyone biked, walked, carpooled, rolled, or rode Durango Transit to multiple stations throughout Durango and enjoyed hot drinks and breakfast. We look forward to summer Bike to Work Day on June 26, 2024.

Local businesses and organizations compete to see who can walk, bike, roll, take Transit, carpool, or telecommute the most. Participants earn points for each sustainable trip taken from Saturday, Feb. 3 to Friday, Feb. 9. The purpose of the Business Commute Challenge is to create friendly competition, celebrate Winter Bike to Work Day, and reduce the number of single occupancy vehicles on the road. Trips can include commutes, social outings or errands but not purely recreational activities.
This year, businesses will log their commutes seamlessly through the Way to Go Durango app. Sign up your business or organization on the Way to Go Durango app, join challenge, create a team, and invite employees to join! Links to download the app are listed on the Way to Go Durango tab to the left.
