Durango Recycle Center & Drop-Off

ALERT!!! The City of Durango Recycle Center will close starting February 5, 2024 - March 4, 2024 to conduct maintenance reline on the processing baler. All residential and commercial collection routes will occur as scheduled.  Recycle material collected from routes during this time frame, will be transported to another recycle facility for processing and shipping. If you have any questions, please contact the City of Durango Trash/Recycle Division at 970-375-5004.

Residents and businesses can drop-off certain recyclable materials at the Durango Recycle Center throughout the week. See the information below for accepted materials, rates, and collection hours.

Not sure what is accepted where? Use the “What Goes Where?” Wizard tool to search for the best disposal option for all kinds of materials.

For safety, a maximum of two cars will be allowed in the drop off area at one time. To ensure proper social distancing between customers and employees, only one person will be allowed out of the vehicle to dispose of recycle material.

The Durango Transfer Station collects landfill waste drop-off and is operated by a separate private operator.
